This is my first time using the Journal!! YAY!!

Recentley (read months) my best friend and I haven't really talked to each other because of a fight that we had during the summer. We were talking about section leaders in band and she said that she wanted to be a section leader. Instead of being the good friend that I should have been and congradulating(sp?) her for choosing to be section I shot down and started naming all the bad things about being section leader. She said "I know" and I got mad at her for interupting me and I started cursing at her. What I realized was that I still thought of her as the Freshman that agreed with me not to become section leader and not as the Junior that wanted to be section leader. Our friendship has fallen down the hole because of that argument. I guess that it was bound to happen one day because we rarley got into arguments let alone fights. I guess all that fustration that I might have had over something came out and I took it out on her instead of something inatimate(sp?). I really want to apologize to her but she asked me to stay away from her for a period of time so I am going to listen to her wishes and stay away from her for the a while. Thought there has been some improvement. For a while she wouldn't talk to me even when I asked several times.

Lately though she seems to be a little warmer. During lunch one day she and another friend were talking together about something and I just wanted to know what they were talking about so I asked what they were talking about expecting the other girl to answer me but she answered instead. I also talked to her a little bit about some of her classes in school and where she got some songs that she burned onto a CD for Stepmania. It made me really happy to know that she answered me instead of ignoring me. I really hope that we can resolve this and talk it out with each other later on during High School.

PS: I am NOT mad at her. I think that her reasoning is justified.
